The Padma Multipurpose Bridge is one of the most important infrastructures being built across the Padma River to connect the south-eastern part of the country with the north.
It is the most challenging project to be completed by the government. The two-level steel bridge will carry a four lane highway on the upper levei and a single track on its lower level for the train communication. The project covers three districts Munshiganj, Shariatpur and Madaripur.
As it has given the top priority, its construction work is going on in full swing at present. The bridge is guessed to be completed in December 2018. After having been completed of this 6.1.5 km bridge it will be the 25th longest road bridge in the world. So, obviously this is a fact of pride for us.
The most important and lovely fact is that the bridge is being constructed from our country’s self fund. The completion of the bridge will definitely bring a massive economic growth for our country.
The development deprived south- east part will see the light of development with the touch of Padma Multipurpose Bridge.
